Michaela McMillian Jenkins is a sociologist of cultural & inequality studying race, ethnicity, organizations, & the American South. Particularly, her research considers how Blackness & anti-Blackness are experienced & defined in different cultural contexts & racialized organizations.She is currently writing her dissertation, "Diversity Logics & Ethnic Hierarchies in Racialized Educational Institutions," which received an American Sociological Associations Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant in 2024.
